Colorificio San Marco awarded for the purchases

THIRD PLACE AT "THE PROCUREMENT AWARDS 2016" WITH THE PROJECT "FAR EAST PIGMENTS" THAT DURING THE LAST YEAR LED TO SIGNIFICANT SAVINGS IN THE PROCUREMENTS.

Colorificio San Marco SpA, was awarded in Milan in the framework of "The Procurement Awards 2016", the first Italian event dedicated to the strategic role of the purchasing process within the companies.

The company, was awarded for the project "Far East Pigments" which had as its focus the establishment of a Cross Functional Team for the opening of new procurement markets of strategic pigments for the group.

Strategically from the purchasing point of view, the project has allowed Colorificio San Marco to directly approach suppliers in the Far East, such as China, India and South Korea, thus mitigating the risk from a single supply. Thanks to the opening of new supply markets, it obtained a reduction of the purchase costs of the pigments, with significant savings over the previous year, while keeping the highest quality standards.

Another significant aspect of the project was the creation of a technological partnership, which was assessed as fundamental for creating innovation and developing new pigments and special effects in the field of decorative wall paints.
