SME WELFARE INDEX AND SME RATING WELFARE INDEX
On 28 March 2017 in Hall 200 of Rome's University LUISS Guido Carli, the 2017 Report and the first SME Rating Welfare Index were presented.
The aim of the initiative is to spread the word of the culture of corporate welfare as a growth driver for Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises, which employ 80% of Italy's workforce.
THE SME WELFARE INDEX
This index assesses the level of corporate welfare among Italy's SMEs.
In the 2017 edition, more than 3,400 companies were involved: 60% more than last year. The survey was broadened to the five production sectors (agriculture, industry, SMEs, commerce and services, and professional studios and services) as well as to the services sector.
THE SME RATING WELFARE INDEX
The SME Rating Welfare Index aims to group all the companies into 5 classes, with a value of from 1W to 5W. The indicator allows the companies to convey their welfare levels in an immediately-recognizable way and thereby make turn their rating into a competitive advantage.
COLORIFICIO SAN MARCO: ETHICAL SHOPPING IN THE OFFICE
Colorificio San Marco has been acknowledged for the second year running by the SME Welfare Index as being one of the best three companies of the division, and judged a "champion" in the SME Rating Welfare Index.
With an ad hoc software platform, since 2013 Colorificio San Marco has been operating an innovative welfare model with an offer targeted to the needs of a personnel, which is made up of many young people, both singles and those with families.
Thus, staff and collaborators can access the tool online and see the various opportunities, and easily manage their personal positions.
Lots of services have been made available: a pension fund, health-care and social-security, and the reimbursement of education expenses for family members.
THE NEW PROJECTS ROLLED OUT BY COLORIFICIO SAN MARCO
Colorificio San Marco has recently rolled out an initiative to bring high-quality healthy, ethical and sustainable food products into the company, allowing employees to do their shopping at the workplace. Thus, staff can choose the best seasonal products right from their employer's premises in a dedicated zone in the cafeteria area; or simply pick up their shopping - again on-site - which they have previously ordered online.
Plus, among the new proposals are seaside apartments, free for employees during the holiday periods, and a project for paid internships for children.
The innovative "Project Academy" will instead receive all corporate training activities of the "San Marco University", and the personnel-training initiatives that are self-managed by employees in an area made available by the company, the training hours of which will contribute to receiving performance bonuses.
