Colorevivo as a backdrop to the works by Photojournalist Werner Bischof

Colorificio San Marco S.p.A. has made available ColoreVivo, the new super-washable water-based paint for walls, to the exhibition "Photographs 1934-1954" at the Casa dei Tre Oci in Venice.
The exhibition celebrates 100 years from the birth of the photographer Werner Bischof, and is made up of vintage prints, memoirs, documents, letters and publications of the artist.

WERNER BISCHOF (1916-1954)
Born in Zurich in 1916, the Swiss artist is considered as one of the best photojournalists of the last century.
In 1949 Bischof was the first photographer to become a member of Magnum Photos, together with the founding members.
Not being a fan of the "superficiality and sensationalism" of the magazine-related business, he devoted much of his working life to seeking the order and tranquillity within traditional culture.
Not only did Bischof document reality with its lens, but he also reflected on his subjects, and sought to narrate the dichotomies between industrial development and poverty, business and spirituality, modernity and tradition.

250 IMAGES TO HONOR THE GREAT PHOTOGRAPHER
"Photographs 1934-1954" is curated by his son, Marco Bischof, and organized by the Fondazione di Venezia and Civita Tre Venezie foundations.
The 250 photos on display are selected from the most important photo features by Werner Bischof and, for the first time, a selection of 20 unpublished black-and-white photos dedicated to Italy is unveiled
Visitors can retrace the long journeys the Swiss artist undertook to the world's most remote corners (from India, Japan and Korea to Indochina, Panama, Chile, and Peru): this journey takes us to understanding something of the different facets of the last century.
