The Acrisyl line obtains EPD Certification
EPD
This is a voluntary "scheme" of certification, born in Sweden but of international value, which falls within the EU's environmental policies.
The advantages
The development of an EPD may be an opportunity for the organisation to achieve these benefits:
- assessment of the environmental quality of products and reduction of environmental impacts;
- the possibility of reducing management and production costs;
- in order to participate in public procurement, painting products must meet the requirements of the CAM (Minimum Environmental Criteria) set by the Ministry of the Environment. The Acrisyl EPD is in line with the CAM because it is a Type III environmental declaration, compliant with the UNI EN 15804 standard and the ISO 14025 standard.
A COMMITMENT TO RESPECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
The EDP (Environmental Product Declaration) is a tool for communicating objective information about the environmental performance of products and services.
They require a precise assessment of the complete life-cycle of the product (LCA, Life Cycle Analysis) in accordance with the ISO 14040 series standards, in order to assess its environmental impacts through the quantification of the resources used (production, use and end-of-life, transport, etc.).
The EPD is a voluntary certification scheme but is verified by an independent body that guarantees the credibility and truthfulness of the information.
The Acrisyl professional line is the result of a combination of acrylic and siloxane technology, making it the ideal solution for the most demanding site works.
